Heavy jackets, coats and sweater will eat up your space, so pack in layer. Carry thin and insulated clothes. Thermals are must, this is not too heavy and will not tale much space. Carry fleece jackets and thin sweatshirts. Carry just one waterproof, windproof warm jacket and do not put it in your bag. Either wear it on top of your t-shirt or carry it and put it in the overhead bin or under the seat or use it as a pillow. Do not forget to pack hat, scarf, pair of gloves and socks.

Whatever you decide make sure you are carrying comfortable and already worn shoes. I’m sure you don’t want shoe bites on your holiday. Also please wear these boot, don’t pack them.
